Penny's Place (Nursery)

This is our ministry to  our youngest parishioners (3 months through age 3). Children are cared for in a loving, safe environment while parents attend worship and spiritual formation. Children are under the care of the nursery staff, which is comprised of youth. All of our staff are trained and certified in CPR and Safe Guarding God's Children. We use an in-house pager system to communicate with parents. Parents are required to remain on campus while their children are in nursery care. It is located in the Underground (downstairs level of St. Michael's), our facilities can be reached via interior staircases or directly from the west parking lot.  Follow the signs to our brightly colored, beautiful nursery, named Penny's Place.

Penny's Place is open on Sundays, 8:30 a.m. through the 10:45 a.m. service. It is also available during special services and other special events throughout the year.

Should a child become ill while at the nursery, the child's parents will be contacted immediately and the child will be sent home. Parents of other children that were present during the time of sickness will be notified.

Health Reminders:
Any child or caregiver who notices signs of a communicable disease within 24 hours of being in the nursery should notify Penny Hoober. Parents should not leave their children in the nursery if they exhibit any of the following:

  • Diarrhea within the last 24 hours
  • Severe or persistent cough
  • Pink eye
