DISCIPLESHIP AND THE WHOLE LIFE OF THE WHOLE PEOPLE OF GOD
Discipleship can never be about a single aspect of our lives, or behavior, or religious expression. It is (in the definition used in this book) about the whole of the life of a Christian and the Christian community, and this means the whole people of God, young and old, lay and clergy, and in everything they do and say on a daily basis. God’s will is that as adults become disciples, so do children, youth, and young adults become disciples of Jesus and disciple-makers, as also those who are differently abled both physically and mentally.
Meanwhile, intentionally following Jesus Christ will place demands upon individuals, our family relationships, the way we handle money, our attitude towards employment and leisure activities, our exploitation of the environment, our political choices, and much more.
