Infant

Nursery
If your child is age four or under, you may choose to let them play in the nursery while you attend services. The nursery at St. Michael’s was renovated in 2001, providing a common area for play and two smaller rooms which are equipped with cribs for sleeping and a changing station. We have eight people on staff who are scheduled based on availability, and during the school year, we have parent helpers on Sunday mornings. Pagers are available for those who bring their child to the nursery. This provides a quick and easy way to summon the parent if the need arises.

Your child will have fun playing at the Brio train table and the Lego table. They will love the clubhouse climber with slide and the playhouse. Also available are dress-up clothes, books, blocks, and age-appropriate toys for both infants and toddlers.

The Nursery also provides childcare for other church events as requested.

Penny Hoober is our Nursery Coordinator. If you would like, she will gladly give you a tour of our wonderful childcare facility.

We offer a Tuesday / Thursday preschool, a Monday / Wednesday / Friday preschool, as well as a Monday – Friday preschool program to families in the community. Our program, which is located downstairs in the undercroft of the church, is lively and full with 99 children enrolled. We are blessed with the support of 21 staff members. We also offer an extended day to children in our care on either a part-time or full-time basis. We enjoy daily chapel downstairs with the children and are privileged to have Mother Lisa join us for Chapel a couple of mornings each week. Along with our Montessori activities, we encourage creativity with our music and art programs, physical health with creative movement, and world awareness through our Italian class. We also offer parent and child education programs each year.
