Worship Schedule for Saint Michael And All Angels Episcopal Church
WEDNESDAYS
9:30 a.m. in Cloud Chapel
Rite II, Holy Eucharist with a homily
This is a healing service with laying on of hands and anointing with Holy Oil the first Wednesday of every month. A short homily is given, there is no music. Approximately thirty minutes in length.


SATURDAYS
5:30 p.m. in the Church of St. Michael’s
Rite I, Holy Eucharist with sermon
A service of Holy Eucharist (Communion) with no music. Approximately forty-five minutes in length.

SUNDAYS
7:30 a.m. in the Church of St. Michael’s
Rite I, Holy Eucharist with sermon
A “traditional” Episcopal service with some music (recessional hymn only). Uses the traditional “Elizabethan English.” A congregation predominately of older adults. Approximately forty- five minutes in length.

8:45 a.m. in the Church of St. Michael’s
Rite II, Holy Eucharist with sermon
This service is geared to adults and families with young children and captures the essence of Episcopal worship. Music is provided by keyboard and instrumental ensemble. Children’s Chapel and Nursery available. Approximately one hour in length.

10:45 a.m. in the Church of St. Michael’s
Rite II, Holy Eucharist with sermon
This service is a formal celebration of Holy Eucharist with organ and full choir. Children’s Chapel and Nursery available. Approximately one hour in length.

5:30 p.m. in the Church of St. Michael’s
Holy Eucharist (no sermon)
A quiet, contemplative service with incense, recorded chanting and silence.

CHRISTMAS EVE, December 24

4 pm        Family Mass with Children's Choir/Nursery and Children's Chapel available
6 pm        Mass with Congregational  Carols/Nursery and Children's Chapel available
8 pm        Festival Mass with Brass and Choir
10:30 pm Festival Mass with Brass and Choir

CHRISTMAS DAY, December 25
10:00 am Holy Eucharist with Congregational Carols


 

LENT AND HOLY WEEK SERVICES

ASH WEDNESDAY (check our calendar on the home page for date of service)
Holy Eucharist and imposition of ashes.
7 am, noon, 5.30 pm Family Service,7 pm.
Nursery will be available at the 7 pm service.

PALM SUNDAY/PASSION SUNDAY (check our calendar on the home page for date of service)
Weather permitting, the service will begin in the courtyard. There will be no Sunday School. Nursery and Children's Chapel will be available at the 8:45 and 10:45 services.

HOLY MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY

7 pm
Holy Eucharist Service (no sermon) beginning with the Litany of Penitence.

MAUNDY THURSDAY (Check our calendar on the home page for date of service)

5.30 pm Family Service
7 pm
Holy Eucharist with foot washing and stripping of the altar. Nursery is available.

Following the service, there is a prayer vigil held through the night in Cloud Chapel. Contact the church office for more information.

7 am, noon, 5.30 pm Family Service and 7 pm

THE GREAT VIGIL OF EASTER(check our calendar on the home page for date of service)
Saturday, 8 pm
The most ancient Christian liturgy, a service from darkness to light when we listen to the story of our salvation history. There is an EASTER FEAST immediately following the service in Spencer Hall.
